ASECAP is the European professional Association of operators of toll road infrastructures.  It gathers together and represents interests of 155 companies operating more than 40,000 kilometres of toll motorways and other toll facilities in 21 European countries. Its principal aim is to promote toll-based concession schemes and to emphasize advantages of such schemes which inter alia ensure higher efficiency of motorway networks and greater road user comfort and safety.

IBTTA is the worldwide alliance of toll operators with 250 members operating motorways, tunnels and other toll facilities in more than 25 countries.  IBTTA is a forum for sharing knowledge and ideas to promote and enhance transportation services financed through toll collection or through other direct charges paid by users.  Its headquarters are situated in Washington (USA).

EUROPEAN UNION -  DIRECTORATE-GENERAL FOR MOBILITY AND TRANSPORT

Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG Move) is in charge of developing transport policies for the European Union. Its remit is to ensure mobility in a single European transport area, integrating citizens` needs, environmental policies, and competitiveness.

DG Move also monitors the implementation of existing EU law and makes new legislative proposals, encourages voluntary agreements and exchange of best practices and co finances infrastructure in the Trans-European Transport Network. It also manages financial support programmes, research projects , promotion of policies internationally and the provision of information to interested sides.

DG Move is based in Brussels, has a staff of over 400, and shares administrative support services with Directorate-General for Energy ( DG Energy). It is under political guidance of Commission Vice-President Siim Kallas, and is headed by Matthias Ruete, Director-General.
